Company OverviewIn 1997, Rob Marler (President and co-founder) and Brian Bangle (Vice-President and co-founder) left their successful jobs as Nextel account executives to launch DirectWireless, a Nextel dealer located in Central Florida. To Rob and Brian, the focus was easy, "We are about creating value in the customer experience and constantly exceeding their expectations," says Marler.In 2000, because of the accomplishments of the corporate location in Maitland, FL, DirectWireless was given the opportunity to open up a second store in Nashville, Tennessee. With the corporate store, and now the Nashville location a success, DirectWireless continued to grow, and opened thirteen locations within the next two years. At the end of 2004, DirectWireless began to activate new service for it's customers and quickly bacame the leading Nextel Authorized Representative in the South Eastern U.S. The company continued the explosive growth in 2005 and opened an additional 5 locations. 2005 brought many new challenges for the team. In early 2006, DirectWireless purchased a competitor in Brevard and Osceola counties in Florida and aquired 7 new locations. The Vanderbilt University On-Campus DirectWireless location opened for business in May 2006. Now with 26 locations and growing, the DirectWireless team is constantly looking to the future for new opportunities. Through their store locations, call center, website, and mobile service, DirectWireless presently conducts business with more than 150,000 customers.
